Piper

Piper is about as perfect as you are going to get. She came to us with a litter of nine puppies that were just a few days old. Since coming to our foster home in mid-February, she has not had a single accident, has not chewed anything other than the rawhides we give her, and has gotten along with every dog and human that has visited! She is sweet, joyful, and funny. Piper loves to curl up at your feet, and while she's not allowed on the bed, she's known to spread out and take over a Queen-sized bed when she sneaks into the bedroom. Piper is a character and a charmer! She knows commands such as "sit" and "down," and she also responds well to "no." The only "naughty" thing she's done was to go over a short fence and snag a hen – the hen was unharmed! Now, we supervise her near the fence, and she comes right back when told "no." Piper is crate trained and has done well, though she will bark in her crate at times and has a deep bark. We are pretty convinced Piper was a house dog before finding herself with nine newborns and dumped at a shelter. Piper would be an amazing pet therapy dog!

Ongoing Health

Piper has been spayed, microchipped, and wormed. She is up-to-date on heartworm preventative.

Training & Support

Piper knows "sit" and "down" and responds to "no." She has learned to stay away from the fence with supervision and a reminder. She is crate trained.
