Jazzy's story is one of hope and second chances. She was rescued from a high-kill shelter just in the nick of time and has been showering everyone with her charm ever since. This vibrant Boxer mix is a bundle of energy, love, and unique personality, making her the ideal companion for anyone who loves to explore, whether it's on long walks, hikes, or simply enjoying new adventures. She's already house-trained and crate-trained, making her a fantastic housemate, though she does have a weakness for unattended snacks!
Jazzy has a special bond with children and thrives in their company. She's gentle, affectionate, and loves to snuggle when it's time to relax. To ensure she has a peaceful and balanced life, she would do best in a home with children ages 8 and up who understand her need for a calm environment.
Her foster family has been working with a trainer to help Jazzy succeed in her forever home. She's a quick learner, highly food-motivated, and eager to please. She's also a great traveler, happily settling into the car for new experiences. While new sounds might initially startle her, she quickly regains her confidence and continues her explorations.
Jazzy has a clear preference: she wants to be the one and only dog in her new home, soaking up all the love and attention without any canine competition.
Currently, Jazzy is undergoing heartworm treatment, and all necessary medications and support will be provided to her new family. This treatment is fully curable and not contagious to people or other pets.
