Dakota is an affectionate and adventurous 8-year-old girl who is happiest when she's with her people. She's a true loyal sidekick, ready for anything from a walk to a quiet evening at home. Dakota is house-trained and a dream in the car, recently enjoying a day of exploring wooded trails and charming everyone she met at Petco. She walks nicely on a leash, loves to sniff out interesting scents, and handled new people, children, and busy environments with a calm and confident demeanor. Since arriving at Baypath, Dakota has settled in wonderfully and continues to show us her gentle and loving nature. She has lived with other dogs before and is comfortable around them, though she seems content doing her own thing rather than seeking a canine playmate. She would be happy as the only dog or with a calm, respectful canine friend. Dakota enjoys exploring the outdoors and is just as happy to relax with her favorite people afterward.
