Polly

Polly is a sweet, shy, medium-sized hound mix, about 35 lbs, who is ready to find her forever home. She was rescued from a tough situation in Louisiana and brought to New Jersey to find a better life. Polly loves to bask in the sun and enjoys the company of other dogs. She is very gentle with everyone she meets and is eager to please, especially when treats are involved! Polly is a house-trained girl who will do her business when let outside. She came to us heartworm positive, but she is currently undergoing treatment. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.

Ideal Home

Polly would do well in a home that can provide her with gentle companionship and a sunny spot to relax. As she is still a bit shy, a home that understands her need for a little time to warm up would be ideal. She loves other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with a canine friend.

Ongoing Health

Polly is currently being treated for heartworm. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.

Training & Support

Polly is house-trained and will not have accidents indoors as long as she is let out regularly. She responds well to treats, so incorporating them into training can be a great motivator.
