Cricket Couch Champ

Easygoing, affectionate, couch-rolling, and just a little bit sneaky with the kisses... this is Cricket. This pint-sized boy is the kind of dog who doesn't need to be the center of attention and is happy to go with the flow, and that is exactly how he wins you over. Cricket is estimated to be around 5 years old and weighs 41 lbs. With rescue, breed is always our best guess, but we see a little pittie, maybe a dash of whippet, and a whole lot of "perfectly made just as he is." He's currently fostered in a loving home with a full spectrum of dog personalities, from tiny, opinionated chihuahuas to big, playful pitties, and Cricket fits in beautifully with all of them. His foster says, "he just gets it!" He reads the room, matches energy effortlessly, and knows when it's time to play and when it's time to relax. It makes living with him feel easy and so natural. At home, he is all about comfort and connection. He's fully house and crate trained, settles in without fuss, and has a deep appreciation for the finer things in life... like a good couch and a proper roll-around before drifting off into a nap. It's kind of his signature move, which we call the "Cricket Classic." He's social and affectionate with people; he will absolutely sneak in a kiss when you least expect it and then carry on like nothing happened. He's gentle with kids, warm without being overwhelming, and has a natural demeanor that makes people feel comfortable around him. Out and about, he's a great little sidekick. He rides well in the car, has the basics of leash walking down, and approaches the world with a calm, steady presence. He doesn't need constant activity to be happy, but he's always up for joining you when adventure calls. Cricket's foster told us all about how he just blended into her home and life, and it is easy to imagine how beautifully he will settle into his forever home when the time comes. He is not flashy, not over-the-top... just consistently grateful, sweet company with a playful little streak and a heart full of quiet affection. Cricket has received DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, and flea prevention. He has also received a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable and a heartworm test.

Cricket is fully house and crate trained and has the basics of leash walking down.

• The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting, DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship.

Transporation

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. This includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page! Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
