George: Not at shelter (BCC)

George is a handsome 75-pound boy who is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. He's been a wonderful guest in his foster home, learning to trust and thrive. George has a heart of gold and is looking for a family to share his devotion with. He's a confident and well-trained dog who has adjusted beautifully to his foster environment, even making friends with the resident cats. He's currently participating in a program at a correctional center, where he's helping inmates learn valuable dog training skills.

Ideal Home

George would love a home with a canine companion, especially a female red pitbull like his best friend Lily! He enjoys gentle play and would prefer a family that won't engage in overly strenuous activities.

Ongoing Health

George has been diagnosed with slight hip dysplasia in both hips, which may lead to arthritis as he ages. He can be managed with daily Cosequin and is expected to live a normal, happy life.

Training & Support

George is house-trained and has shown great progress in his behavior. He's gentle, affectionate, and calm around other dogs and people. While he hasn't been tested with children, he's shown such a gentle nature that he's likely to be a wonderful guardian for respectful children.
