Meet Blu!

Blu is a vibrant, approximately two-and-a-half-year-old Boxer/American Pitbull Terrier mix with a beautiful brown brindle coat and white accents. She's a large pup at 65 pounds, but her personality is even bigger! Blu is affectionate, incredibly smart, and motivated to please. Her days are filled with joy from playing fetch with her favorite frisbee, epic tug-o-war matches, and zooming around the yard. She also enjoys supervised shredding of soft toys and cardboard, which has been a creative outlet for her natural chewing instincts. Blu has been living with senior dogs and confident cats and has shown a gentle patience. She's spayed and vaccinated and is eager to find a family to call her own.

Ideal Home

Blu would thrive in an active home with plenty of room to romp and people to love. A fenced yard is a big plus, and her ideal family will enjoy an active lifestyle and have time to include her in their daily routine.

Training & Support

Blu knows an impressive list of commands and responds well to structure, training, treats, and praise. She is working through sensitivity to passing cars and men in baseball caps, but has made steady progress. Blu can get excitable, leading to jumping and "cobbing," which her caregivers have worked to manage. She can also be destructive when under-stimulated, so regular mental and physical enrichment is essential.
