Meet Chester Drawers, a senior mixed breed who's got plenty of spunk and a whole lot of love to give! He's described as having a gray face, but don't let that fool you – this old boy has enough energy to supervise the entire neighborhood. He loves to trot around the yard, investigate every smell, and he's got opinions on squirrels, the mail carrier, and any youngsters who don't know their manners. If dogs could yell, "Y'all quit slammin' my drawers!" it'd be Chester! He's a hilarious old character with a whole lot of personality and enough love tucked away to fill an entire house. He's the kind of old man who'll steal your recliner... and your heart.

Chester is heartworm positive. The good news is that heartworm is treatable, and the shelter is willing to provide his treatment if he can start it from the comfort of a home instead of a kennel.
