Lily

Lily is a sweet, loving shepherd mix who is 5 years old and 65 pounds. She was rescued from Mexico as a puppy and has a gentle soul. Lily is timid at first but warms up quickly to anyone taking care of her. Her favorite thing to do is to stare into your eyes while you stroke her face. She also has a goofy side and her whole body wiggles when she shakes her tail, especially when she's excited about food or attention. Lily loves being able to sit in the sun or by an open door to get a fresh breeze and hear nature sounds. She enjoys walks but is also a bit of a homebody and gets tired on long hikes or runs. Lily doesn't like fireworks and will try to hide in a closet or pantry if she hears them.

Ideal Home

Lily would love a home where she can relax in the sun or near an open door. She enjoys walks but prefers shorter outings over long hikes or runs. She would do well with older children.

Ongoing Health

Lily is spayed, healthy, and up to date on vaccines. She had knee surgery for a torn ACL ligament a couple years ago and recovered well. She experienced some joint pain previously, but it seemed to resolve after she lost some weight.

Training & Support

Lily is house trained and knows some basic commands. She is very food motivated, which can be a great asset for further training.
