Meet Palmer!

This sweet, spirited boy is ready to leave his past behind and start the next chapter of his life with a family to call his own!

Palmer is an affectionate, energetic pup with a wonderful personality and a heart full of love. He enjoys making connections with people and is always eager to be part of the action. Whether he's exploring a new environment, soaking up attention from his favorite humans, or simply hanging out by your side, Palmer is happiest when he's included in the fun.

Palmer's journey to finding his forever home hasn't been without challenges. He came to a previous rescue suffering from parvo, but he fought through it like an absolute champion. Today, he's healthy, strong, and ready to put all of that behind him as he searches for the family he's been waiting for.

This curious boy loves using his nose to investigate the world around him. There isn't much that escapes Palmer's attention! He enjoys exploring new sights, sounds, and smells and would love a family that can provide him with plenty of enrichment and adventures. Palmer is also beginning to discover the joy of toys. While he wasn't quite sure what to do with them at first, he showed a particular interest in a soft squeaky toy and is learning that playtime can be a lot of fun.

When Palmer first came inside for his evaluation, he was excited and a little all over the place as he took in his surroundings. Once he had a chance to settle, however, his sweet nature really shined through. He can be a bit nervous around sudden or fast movements, but he recovers nicely and continues to build confidence as he learns the world is a safe place.

Palmer is wonderful with pets, and squeezes and hugs alike and enjoys spending time with people. His affectionate nature and desire to connect make him a rewarding companion for a family willing to continue helping him grow and learn. He can be vocal when he's outside in his kennel because he doesn't want to miss out on the excitement around him, but once indoors, he settles down nicely and enjoys being with his people.

As a young, energetic dog, Palmer will benefit from continued training, daily exercise, and plenty of opportunities to use both his body and his brain. His eagerness to please and positive attitude will make that journey a fun one for his future family.

Based on our evaluation, we feel Palmer would do best in a home with adults or families with children ages eight and up due to his enthusiastic and jumpy nature. With guidance, consistency, and love, we know this wonderful boy will blossom into an incredible companion.
