Meet Wendy!
Wendy is a brilliant 2-year-old, 42 lb girl who is truly something special. Our trainer has said she is the smartest dog we have had — and it shows. Wendy is looking for a home that’s excited to keep learning with her and help her reach her full potential. She's exceptionally intelligent and highly trainable, dog-friendly, and people-friendly. Wendy walks well on leash, does well in the crate, and loves to play fetch, reliably bringing the toy back. She's also affectionate, cuddly, and loves to give kisses!
When Wendy locks in to learn, she really locks in and lights up. She will happily "parkour" for treats and thrives on problem-solving, structure, and being given a job. Think of the kind of dog who could learn complex tricks or tasks! Wendy could be trained to paint, skateboard, and roll herself into a burrito on cue. While she doesn’t need to work nonstop and is not as high energy as her breed can be, Wendy is absolutely the kind of dog who wants direction and purpose – to be told when it's time to learn, when it's time to chill, and when it's time to play. She flourishes when her brain is engaged and she’s working alongside her person. She would not be impressed with simply being walked without engagement/instructions every day; she'd like to be your second in command and give a focused heel. With the right forever home, Wendy has the potential to hone some truly impressive skills and become an incredibly bonded, rewarding companion.
Ideal Home
Wendy is best suited for a home with older kids who can engage with her. She thrives on direction and purpose, so a home that enjoys training and providing mental stimulation would be ideal.

Training & Support
Wendy is highly intelligent and trainable. She loves to learn and problem-solve. While she does well in the crate and walks well on leash, she benefits from direction and engagement. As with all of our dogs, Wendy’s adoption comes with group training classes, which are an excellent way to continue building her skills, deepen your connection, and help her settle confidently into her new home with the help of our trainer who has gotten to know her.
