Trucker is a happy, relaxed 7-year-old male Yellow Labrador mix who embodies the perfect laid-back companion. He's calm, gentle, and finds his greatest joy in simply being with his people. Trucker is content to be a couch potato, but he also loves his time outdoors. He enjoys leisurely walks and is a good leash walker. Once he's had a chance to explore the yard, he's happy to sunbathe and observe the world. He's also a great travel buddy, riding well in the car, making him an easygoing companion wherever your adventures take you.
Trucker is a social butterfly, getting along wonderfully with other dogs, adults, and children. He's neutral around cats. This sweet boy is completely house-trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and doesn't rush to go outside first thing in the morning. He doesn't need a crate and is perfectly content sleeping on the couch or his own comfy dog bed.
Food is a highlight for Trucker! He enjoys both wet and dry food and has no issues with food guarding. He's known to sometimes eat part of his meal and return later to finish it. His favorite treats are liver bites, followed by Milk-Bones, and he also loves a peanut butter-stuffed Kong. Trucker is a smart boy who enjoys learning. He's already responding well to cues like "Let's go" and "Outside," and he's quickly mastering recall in the safety of the backyard. He thrives on praise and is always eager to hear "Good Boy!" While he hasn't shown any inclination to run off, he might wander if he catches an interesting scent, as he loves to take in all the wonderful smells during his walks. Trucker's gentle nature makes him an excellent family dog.
