He was just 8 months old when he was abandoned overnight in front of the shelter, and since then, he's been patiently waiting for someone to choose him. Despite his heartbreaking start, Popeye has kept his happy, playful spirit and loving personality. He's full of life and brings that perfect mix of youthful energy and cuddle time. Whether it's a game of chase, a long walk, or curling up next to you after a day of fun, Popeye is all in. He's affectionate, loyal, and eager to be part of a family. Popeye is currently living in a foster home with a foster family, and he has already made himself quite comfortable in a home environment. He walks nicely on a leash, appears to be crate trained, and is eager to learn. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
