Essex

Essex is a charming Cockapoo mix, approximately 5 years old and weighing about 10 pounds. He's a playful pup who enjoys amusing himself with toys and loves to zoom around the yard. Essex is quite intelligent and can be a bit of an alpha, so he would do best as the only dog in the home or with a very laid-back canine companion. He walks well on a leash and is mostly house-trained, though he does have a tendency to mark other dogs' beds, which is something an experienced owner can help him with. When he was rescued, he was very matted and had to be shaved, but his beautiful coat is now growing back wonderfully.

Ideal Home

Essex would be a great companion for an older individual or couple. He would thrive in a home without children under the age of 8.

Ongoing Health

Essex has no known health conditions. He has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, including Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella, and Canine Influenza. He is also on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas, ticks, and parasites.

Training & Support

Essex is mostly house-trained but occasionally marks other dogs' beds. He is a precocious and alpha dog who needs an owner with experience managing such personalities.
