TEX (Loyal, Loving, Active--Fostering in Wayne, NJ)

Hi, I'm Tex! I'm a handsome 2-year-old Cattle Dog/Corgi mix, weighing in at about 35 pounds. Despite being abandoned, I'm an optimistic pup with a huge personality, a delightful mix of energy and cuddles! I was found in a rural area, but that hasn't slowed me down one bit. I'm ready to move forward and find my forever family. You'll notice my short legs, which might be why people think I'm part Corgi! I'm neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all my shots.

Ideal Home

I would absolutely thrive on a farm, with plenty of acreage to explore, or in a home where trail walking is a regular activity! I'm a loyal and protective boy, so I'd do best in an all-adult household or with older, high-school-aged children. I'm not a good fit for homes with cats, as I tend to find them too tempting to chase.

Ongoing Health

I am current on all my vaccinations and have been neutered and microchipped.

Training & Support

I'm a smart and athletic guy who is already house and crate trained! I'm also leash savvy and an amazing car rider. I'm a bit shy when I first meet new people, but I warm up quickly. I'm happiest when I'm close to my people and love to be a "velcro dog." I also sit perfectly still during bath time, which is a big plus!
