TEDDY

Teddy is a handsome 3.5-year-old, 10-pound bundle of joy with a mix of Chihuahua, Yorkie, Bichon, and three other breeds in his DNA. When he first arrived, he was quite matted and needed a good shave, but his coat has since grown back beautifully, revealing a truly pretty pup! He'll need regular grooming to keep him looking his best. Teddy underwent successful cataract surgery on both eyes, and after a period of healing with eye medication, he now enjoys excellent eyesight. He absolutely adores being a lap dog and will enthusiastically climb onto his foster's lap whenever possible. Teddy generally gets along well with other dogs, though he prefers companions who aren't overly energetic or in his face. He can be a bit possessive of his food and isn't keen on sharing, so he would likely do best as an only dog or with a calm, older canine companion. He's mostly house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and loves car rides – he's sure to be a wonderful companion!

Ideal Home

Teddy would thrive in a home without children under the age of 8. He is best suited for experienced dog owners who understand his need for a calm environment and can manage his food possessiveness.

Ongoing Health

Teddy has had successful cataract surgery on both eyes and is now fully healed.

Training & Support

Teddy is fairly well house-trained but not perfect. He can be snippy when it comes to his food and does not like sharing. We recommend continued positive reinforcement and managing his mealtimes to ensure a smooth transition.
