About Genevieve

Genevieve is a sweet girl who had a rough start in life. She was rescued from a hoarding situation with several other dogs who were all matted, terrified, unsocialized, and in poor condition. While her companions have found loving homes, Genevieve is still patiently waiting for her special person. She arrived with us in July and has blossomed beautifully since then.

At first, Genevieve can be a bit shy and uncertain around new people. It takes her a moment to warm up, but beneath that initial hesitancy lies a truly wonderful personality! Once she forms a bond, she is incredibly loyal, full of love, and surprisingly energetic and comical. You'll often see her bouncing around like a happy bunny, prancing with excitement, and sporting a big, goofy smile. She's learned that people can be kind and now enjoys cuddles and simply being near her favorite humans. She's also a master at the "sploot"! We are currently working on helping her manage some separation anxiety.

When Genevieve first arrived, she had no basic training, but she has made remarkable progress during her time with us. She has made many dog friends and we believe she would thrive in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can help her continue to build trust, learn routines, and feel secure in her new environment.

Ideal Home

Genevieve would do well in a home with another dog who can be a positive role model.

Ongoing Health

Genevieve is up-to-date on vaccines and prevention, and is heartworm negative. Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery, vaccinations, prevention, and microchip.

Training & Support

Genevieve is working through some separation anxiety. She has made great strides in her training since arriving and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement.
