Peter aka Max

Peter, also known as Max, is a charming 55lb, 1-year-old Pit Bull Terrier Mix with a heart full of love and a tank full of energy! He was adopted as a young puppy and lived with a family with two children, but their busy schedules mean Max needs a new home where he can get the attention and exercise he deserves. He's already mastered "lay," "sit," and "stay," and he's working on his fetch game, especially the "bring it back" part! Max adores playing fetch and tug-of-war, and he also enjoys spending time with his canine pals. However, he has a strong prey drive and can't resist chasing squirrels!

Ideal Home

Max would thrive in an active home with an energetic family who can provide him with regular exercise. He would do best as the only dog in the household. While he's good with older children, his size and enthusiasm might be overwhelming for very young ones, so a home with older kids would be ideal. His cat compatibility is unknown but can be tested upon request.

Ongoing Health

Max is neutered, up to date on all his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Max is already house-trained and crate-trained. He's learning to bring back toys during fetch and could benefit from continued practice in this area. His love for chasing squirrels is something to be aware of, and he'll need continued guidance to manage this instinct.
