Meet Thomas, a 3-year-old, 68-pound Pittie and retriever mix who is an absolute sweetheart! Thomas is a goofball who absolutely adores people and is incredibly loving. He's great with other dogs, enjoys a good game of fetch, and is super kid-friendly. He even makes a fantastic office companion, happy to relax by your feet while you work, and might even join you for a TV-watching session. Thomas has so much love to give and is eagerly awaiting his forever family. His retriever side brings a love for fetch, while his Pittie heritage contributes to his affectionate, lap-dog nature.
Ideal Home
Thomas would thrive in a home with a fenced-in backyard where he can enjoy his zoomies and play sessions. He would do well with a family that is semi-active, enjoying both outdoor adventures and cozy snuggle sessions. He is looking for a feline-free home, as he can be a little too interested in cats.
Ongoing Health
Thomas is up-to-date on all his vetting, which includes DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, and he has been spayed/neutered. He also receives flea prevention and a 12-month heartworm preventative injection. He has been tested for heartworms and any necessary treatment has been provided.
Training & Support
Thomas is a smart and treat-motivated boy who is highly trainable. He already knows commands like "sit," "down," "leave it," and "fetch." He's a gentle treat taker, making training a joy. He is fully crate-trained and enjoys sleeping in bed with his humans if allowed. He loves to chew on enrichment toys like a Kong when in his crate. Thomas is also gentle lead trained, which helps him walk beautifully on a leash.
