About Shaggy (NO ADOPTION FEE Home, Foster or Rescue Needed ASAP)

Shaggy is a wonderful boy who has had a tough start but is now ready to find his forever home. He's heartworm negative, and his annual vaccines and rabies are up to date. Shaggy is a smart guy who alerts you when he needs to go outside and absolutely loves his walks.

He enjoys long walks where he can take in the world, and sometimes just stands still to observe everything around him. Shaggy also loves car rides and will sometimes hide his head under the seat for comfort, especially when he's tired and likes the dark. While he's happy to help you outside, once you're back inside, he wants to be right by your side. He's content to lounge with his favorite stuffed animal or cuddle up on the couch with you when it's time to relax. He also loves to burrow under a blanket to create his own cozy, dark space when he's feeling sleepy. Shaggy walks well on a leash, though he can get a little overwhelmed if he really needs to go to the bathroom and can't wait – it's a cute quirk!

Ideal Home

Shaggy has done wonderfully with older children and we believe he would be perfectly fine with younger kids as well. He has also shown to be great with other dogs and has had no issues with our resident cat, making him a potentially great fit for a multi-pet household.

Ongoing Health

Shaggy is heartworm negative, and his annual vaccines and rabies are up to date.

Training & Support

Shaggy is house-trained and alerts you when he needs to go outside. He walks well on a leash, with a cute tendency to get a little too excited if he really needs to go potty.
