Marcel von Medow is a gorgeous 2-year-old black and red German Shepherd. If you've never had your breath literally taken away at the sight of a stunning dog, then you must meet Marcel. Although this striking boy is the kind of dog people stop mid-sentence to stare at, it’s his great temperament that will steal your heart. Once you’re “his person,” he will happily appoint himself as your full-time shadow. He loves being close and has a fun, goofy side that pops out when he’s feeling happy and safe. He’s a wonderful mid-energy companion, happy to join you for walks and adventures, then relax by your side. Marcel is making great progress with his leash skills, learning to stay close, and with gentle guidance, will walk nicely in a heel position, occasionally checking in with his person as he goes. He meets people and dogs well on walks and moves comfortably in a pack. In playgroups, he may be a little unsure at first, but once he settles in, his friendly nature takes over. He’s a great greeter and even gives doggy kisses to his new-found friends. This friendly and social boy has the potential to be playful once he’s comfortable, however, kitties are not part of his social circle. Marcel is that perfect mix of stunning and affectionate, and is beautiful inside and out.
Ideal Home
Marcel would thrive in a home where he can be your full-time shadow. He is not a good fit for homes with cats.

Marcel was rescued from a local animal shelter and has no ongoing health concerns noted.
Training & Support
Marcel is making great progress with his leash skills and can walk nicely with gentle guidance. He is social with people and dogs but may be unsure in new playgroup settings initially. He has the potential to be playful once comfortable.

Transporation
Marcel is located at the Westside rescue facility in Los Angeles, CA. He can be adopted and transported anywhere in the US and Canada. Transport costs vary based on destination. Ground and air transportation are available to most locations within the US (excluding Hawaii) and Canada. Dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue, and the adoption contract and fees are finalized prior to transport.
