She spent years as a beloved family companion and is now searching for a new family to love. She settles easily into home life, is potty trained, and has excellent house manners. Ferret can be trusted to free roam while you're away and sleeps peacefully through the night. She rides beautifully in the car and enjoys joining her people on walks, though she can be a little enthusiastic on leash at times. She loves people of all ages and has a special soft spot for children. True to her Lab roots, she sometimes forgets she's an 80-pound girl, so supervision around very small children is always a good idea due to her size and excitement. Ferret currently lives comfortably with other dogs and enjoys their company, though she appreciates thoughtful introductions. She may bark when she sees unfamiliar dogs on walks but is easily redirected. She'd likely be happiest with canine companions closer to her own size and is looking for a cat-free home. Around the house, Ferret is an easy companion, happiest simply hanging out with her people. She's an excellent watchdog and will let you know when someone arrives. She may also help herself to food left unattended on the counter, so keeping countertops clear is an easy way to help her succeed. Recently, Ferret had a dental cleaning and is feeling great. She has so much love left to give and is hoping to spend her golden years with a family who will cherish her.
