Franck

Franck is a charming, approximately 7-month-old, 22-pound Jack Russell Terrier mix with a heart full of love and a spirit full of play. He's a happy and social pup who absolutely adores being around people and other dogs, and he gets along wonderfully with everyone – children, men, and women alike! Franck thrives on affection, and a good petting session makes him feel safe and content. Sadly, Franck was found abandoned and suffering from severe mange, which impacted his tail, resulting in the loss of a portion of it. But don't worry, he's now healthy, happy, and ready to leave his past behind for a new beginning with a loving family.

Ideal Home

Franck would do best in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. He needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog, understanding the unique needs and behaviors of street animals that require protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly desired, or a commitment to hiring a trainer to help this intelligent dog reach his full potential. High tolerance and patience for a rescued puppy are essential.

Ongoing Health

Franck has been treated for mange. His tail is shorter due to this condition. He has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, deworming, and is microchipped. He has also had a 4DX test, a negative heartworm test, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection for fleas, ticks, and heartworms. He has a health certificate and a vaccine booklet. Please note that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and may not be house-trained.

Training & Support

Franck is not house-trained, as is common with many rescued animals. He will require patience, understanding, and consistent training to help him adjust to his new environment and learn house-training. His past experiences may mean he needs time to build trust and overcome any fears or anxieties. Providing a safe, loving environment with a clear routine and boundaries will be key to his success.

• If it's a match, we'll schedule a call or video chat to introduce you to Franck and conduct a virtual home tour.
• We will speak with 1-2 of your references.
• Upon approval, you'll sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee, which helps cover Franck's vet care, vaccinations, microchip, and food.

Transportation

Franck is currently being fostered in Matamoros, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our cross-country trip. Door-to-door delivery is available for a transport fee of $400 USD. We organize 3-4 trips per year with a contracted transport company that ensures a safe and comfortable journey. You will receive real-time updates throughout the trip in a private Facebook Messenger group, and the transport team will deliver Franck directly to your home.
