Benji

Benji is a sweet, easygoing husky with a heart of gold. At home, he’s perfectly content to lounge around and relax, but when it’s time for an adventure, he loves car rides, trips to the park, and making new friends. His foster family even discovered that he’s a huge sports fan and happily watches NBA games alongside them! He’s a large, adult male, and we believe he'd make a wonderful companion.

Ideal Home

Benji is looking for a husky-savvy or rescue-experienced family who will give him the love and stability he deserves. Northern breeds typically have higher exercise, training, and care requirements than others, so thorough research into the breed is recommended if you do not have prior experience. He has been gentle and friendly with the children he’s met, but has not been formally tested with kids. He has shown little interest in cats.

Ongoing Health

Benji came to rescue after being surrendered due to a seizure condition. Thanks to medication and loving foster care, he is now seizure-free and otherwise in excellent health. His seizures are idiopathic, meaning they are not caused by an underlying disease, and he simply needs inexpensive daily medication to keep him feeling his best.

Training & Support

Benji is fully potty trained and has wonderful house manners. He can be left home alone without any issues.
