Augustus

Meet Augustus, a charming and petite fellow who's ready for his forever home! Gus is a little guy, much smaller than he appears in photos, making him the perfect size for all sorts of adventures. He originally hails from Colorado but has happily adapted to desert life, unfazed by the heat. Gus is a smart cookie; he's deaf and is diligently learning sign language, already mastering "sit" with a simple hand motion. His food-motivated nature makes him a natural at scent work, a fun enrichment activity he thoroughly enjoys. When he's not sniffing out treasures, Gus lives for fetch – playing ball is when he's truly in his element! He also appreciates downtime and finds comfort in his crate, where he's happily crate trained. Gus is a fantastic co-pilot, always ready for a ride with his people.

Ideal Home

Gus would prefer to be the only pet in the home, as he has a big personality and is all the companion you'll need!

Ongoing Health

Gus has allergies and experiences chronic ear infections. He's currently on Apoquel for his allergies. While he's not a fan of ear cleaning, it's a necessary part of his care.

Training & Support

Gus is crate trained and is working on learning more hand signals. His food motivation makes him an excellent candidate for continued training.
