Jude

Jude is a charming 4-year-old, 47.2lb mixed breed with a tan coat. He arrived at our shelter on June 3, 2026, when his previous owner could no longer care for him. Jude is a unique boy who enjoys his walks but prefers to do things on his own terms, much like a cat! He needs his space respected and may take a little time to warm up to new people. The best way to build a bond with Jude is to let him approach you when he feels ready and to allow him to retreat if he needs a break. He's a sweet soul who will make a wonderful, loyal companion with the right patience and understanding.

Jude would thrive in a calm, patient home environment where his world can be kept small as he settles in. He'd love quiet walks, cozy naps, and plenty of time to adjust at his own pace.

Jude has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He may benefit from a Fear Free veterinarian and gentle, reward-based handling for any future grooming needs.

Training & Support

Jude is a shy and fearful dog who requires a virtual behavior consult. He needs gentle, reward-based handling and positive reinforcement to help him feel secure and build confidence.

Transportation

Jude is located at the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA Oceanside Campus for Dogs in Oceanside, CA. Transport may be available to approved adopters.
