Ramos

Ramos is a big puppy with a heart full of love, just waiting for the right person to share it with! He's a sweet boy who can be a little shy at first, but with a gentle hand and a warm hug, he'll blossom into the playful and affectionate companion you've been dreaming of. He enjoys a good snuggle and can spend hours in your lap, showing you just how much he cherishes your presence.

Ramos would thrive in a home that can offer him patience, understanding, and plenty of love. He needs a gentle and nurturing environment where he can feel safe to express his playful and loving nature.

Ongoing Health

Ramos is currently being treated for anxiety and has started medication. He was observed to have whale eye, a tense body, and vigilant behavior during his initial exams. He can flinch and tense up when touched, but he does enjoy cream cheese, which has been used to help him feel more comfortable.

Training & Support

Ramos can be jumpy when initially excited, but this often stems from a desire for connection. He is handler-oriented and enjoys gentle guidance. He needs continued positive reinforcement and patience to build his confidence. He has shown good greetings with other dogs, with loose body language, play bows, and appropriate play pauses. He has also shown good leash manners, though he can pull moderately when walking alongside another dog.

Transportation

Ramos is currently located at our shelter in Philadelphia. We are able to transport animals to approved adopters within a reasonable distance.
