Sterling Bear is a handsome, 2-year-old Lab mix who weighs about 72 lbs. He's an easygoing gentleman with a golden heart, and he's got all the qualities of a dream dog! Sterling is smart, dog-friendly, and has a calm, steady temperament that will make your life feel more relaxed just by having him around. He's not about chaotic puppy energy; instead, he's perfectly balanced and goes with the flow, knowing when to go for a walk, when to play, and when to snuggle up on the couch. He has wonderful house manners and carries himself with politeness and grace. Sterling loves treats, already knows a few basic commands like "sit," and is crate and potty trained. He's the ideal companion for someone who enjoys adventures and a snuggly pal at the end of the day.
Ideal Home
Sterling would absolutely love a home with a nice big backyard for him to roam, chase squirrels, and relax in the sun. While we haven't seen him with children yet, we believe he would make a great family dog. He is very dog-friendly and has done well with dogs who are happy-go-lucky and enjoy playing but also know when to take a break. He prefers playmates who aren't too pushy. If you don't have other dogs, Sterling is perfectly happy with that too, as he's always happiest when surrounded by his favorite people and loves everyone.

Sterling is crate and potty trained and knows a few basic commands. He's a well-mannered boy who is ready to become your loyal companion.

Transporation
Sterling Bear is located in Houston, Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA certified transport system, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. A $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
