Rocky

Rocky is an 11-month-old sweet boy who was surrendered to the shelter with his bonded friend, Bandit. When Rocky first arrived, he was understandably scared, but he's been bravely working on his confidence every day. He finds comfort in familiar faces and is slowly learning to trust new people by observing their interactions and body language. While Rocky can be a bit protective of his loved ones, his reactions are limited to barking, and he's all bark and no bite! He's a leash-walking pro and would likely enjoy exploring hiking trails. Rocky absolutely loves to swim and has a blast in the pools. He's not overly interested in toys, preferring to spend quality time with his people. He previously lived with dogs and, while it takes him a little time to warm up, he eventually does great with them. Rocky hasn't been around cats. He's hoping for a family who will understand his need for patience, training, and reassurance as he learns to love and feel loved.

Ideal Home

Rocky needs a patient and understanding family who can help him build confidence and trust. He would likely do well in a home with other dogs after a slow introduction, but his experiences with cats are unknown.

Rocky is healthy and has no known health conditions.

Training & Support

Rocky is young and will benefit from continued training and socialization. He is learning to trust and can sometimes be protective, but his reactions are limited to barking.
