Meet Brownie, a handsome and sweet Border Collie who's about 2 years old and ready for his fresh start! This loving boy was unfortunately found abandoned at a farmers market, but his spirit remains bright and his love for people is as strong as ever. Weighing in at a perfect 35 pounds, Brownie is a medium-sized dog with a heart full of loyalty and a mind full of potential. He's already crate trained and house trained, and he gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children. Brownie is eager to please and is currently learning his basic commands, making him an excellent candidate for continued training. His intelligence and attentiveness are classic Border Collie traits, and he's sure to be a joy to have around.

Ongoing Health
Brownie has been neutered and is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms using the slow-kill method. He has completed his 30-day course of doxycycline and has received his ProHeart 12 injection. To continue his treatment, he will need to remain on Advantage Multi or NexGard PLUS. Wags will provide the next six months of prevention to help ensure he stays on track.
Training & Support
Brownie is eager to please and is currently learning his basic commands. He is a smart and attentive dog, characteristic of the Border Collie breed, and would likely thrive with continued positive reinforcement training.

- Following application submission, you may have a group text with your foster or rescuer.
- A virtual home visit and meet-and-greet with Brownie may be arranged.
- A reference check will be conducted.
- Board approval and an adoption contract will follow.
- Final details, including the adoption contribution and transport arrangements, will be made.
The adoption contribution is $450 and is tax-deductible. Donations toward transport expenses or to support the rescue are always appreciated.

Brownie is currently in a foster home located in Ft Worth, TX. Transport arrangements can be made post-adoption.
