Meet Cinta! This sweet boy is looking for a very special adopter to share his love with. Cinta's favorite thing in the world is snuggling; it's truly his love language! He's good on the leash but can get spooked, so a martingale collar is recommended for safety. He has shown some prey drive, primarily towards squirrels, but hasn't had other reactions on leash. Cinta has made incredible progress in his foster home, going from not knowing how to play to enjoying bones and wrestling with other dogs. He's been excellent with every dog he's met, happy to keep to himself or engage in play. He's very food motivated, knows "sit" and "down" (his "down" is a cute flop onto his side!), and enjoys keeping busy with Kong toys and snacks. His ultimate joy, however, is being right beside you on the couch or in your chair.
Ideal Home
Cinta needs a quiet home without cats. He should never be off-leash outside, as he is a potential flight risk, even in a fenced yard. He has scaled fences but does well on a tie-out. He would do best in a woman-only home with no children, as he is scared of men and kids. Patience and equal sharing of time and care are mandatory.
Ongoing Health
Cinta does not need to be kenneled and has no potty accidents. He wears belly bands in his kennel in case of protest peeing, but is happy napping on the couch while you're gone. He loves fuzzy and heated blankets!
Training & Support
Cinta is a quick learner, especially with food motivation. He knows "sit" and "down" and is learning to trust a second person. He tends to attach strongly to one person, so consistent socialization and patience are key to helping him gain confidence in the world and with new people.
