Meet River!
River is a lively six-and-a-half-year-old American Pitbull Terrier mix with a shining golden coat and a heart full of affection. This medium-sized girl, weighing around 50 pounds, is always ready for an adventure! River truly cherishes human connection, especially with men, and her happiest moments are spent curled up under the covers, enjoying warmth and companionship after a fun-filled day.
Ideal Home
River thrives on activity and would love to join a family who enjoys running, hiking, swimming, or long walks. Tug-of-war is one of her favorite games! River needs a caring environment where she can be the only pet, as she has shown strong reactivity toward other animals, particularly cats and small dogs. A pet-free home is essential due to a past incident involving a cat. Because she has limited experience with children and may not tolerate loud, grabby, or unpredictable young children, a home with teenagers or adults would be the best fit.

River has occasional skin sensitivity, which is well managed with vitamins.
Training & Support
River has completed formal obedience training and knows commands like sit, lay down, wait, and kennel up. She is house-trained and comfortable being left alone for short periods. River may feel uneasy around loud noises like drills or hair dryers, but with understanding and support, she settles beautifully into a calm and cuddly companion. She would benefit from a confident, experienced pet parent who understands energetic dogs and can continue providing structure, guidance, and clear boundaries.
