My name is Brutus Beau Beauford the Third, and I'm 105 lbs of pure love! Don't let my size or breed fool you; I'm the gentlest, sweetest soul you'll ever meet. I absolutely adore being outdoors, going on long walks, and even enjoy a good run! My foster mom, who isn't a runner, says I'm amazing at keeping pace without pulling. If you love hiking or adventuring, I'd be a fantastic addition to your family. I really enjoy people of all ages, especially females.
One of my favorite indoor pastimes is "borrowing" a slipper or anything else within reach, like a laundry item or a plastic bottle. I don't eat them; I just love showing off my find and playing keep-away for fun. With a little patience and a calm demeanor from you, I'll happily return my treasures. Belly rubs, chest rubs, and scratches on my outer thighs are my absolute favorites. I also love just snuggling up next to you with your arm around me. Every morning, I expect plenty of belly rubs and at least 1000 smooches – I'll even present my cheek for more if needed!
While I'm friendly and enjoy meeting other dogs, I think I'd be happiest as the only pup in the home, so no one gets upset with me for being so big and adorable. I love playing ball and gazing out the window. I'm also the best emotional support and bathroom buddy you could ask for! My foster mom wishes she could keep me, but she lives in an apartment and knows I deserve a yard. She's happy to help with dog-sitting anytime!

I'd thrive in a home with a yard and people who enjoy active adventures. I get along well with people of all ages.
Ongoing Health
I'm a big drinker and will initially gulp a lot of water. I've also tried to eat tissues and used tissues, so keeping those out of reach is important. I do enjoy rawhide and nylon bones, but these should be avoided as they can be a choking hazard.
Training & Support
I can be a bit of a sock thief and enjoy playing keep-away with slippers, but I don't tear them up and will bring them to my kennel. A calm approach and a few minutes will usually get them back. I may try to counter-surf, but a simple "no" stops me. I can also open and try to drink from the toilet, so supervision is key. I know to take treats gently when asked. I can pull a bit initially on walks but settle in well after a few minutes. I'm not bothered by bicycles or scooters.
