A little about them

Roxi is a beautiful Chocolate Lab mix who survived on her own in Kentucky before being rescued. She can be shy and nervous with new people, but once she feels safe, she becomes a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys cuddling, attention, and giving kisses. Roxi is food motivated, walks well on leash, rides well in the car, and is not destructive.

Ideal Home

  • Patient adopters who will give Roxi time to build trust
  • Older children are recommended because she is shy at first
  • A home with a yard is preferred
  • Another dog is not required, though one could help her confidence
  • She may possibly live in an apartment
  • She is good with women, men, dogs, cats, and children

Ongoing Health

Roxi is spayed and has been treated for whipworms and Lyme disease.

Training & Support

  • House training and crate training are in progress
  • Walks well on leash and is not reactive to people or dogs
  • She does not bark except when excited
  • Roxi may be a flight risk initially until she forms a bond
  • She has 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org
