About Bear

Bear is a sweet and handsome boy who ended up at the shelter because his owner became ill. He's about 4.5 years old and weighs over 100 pounds, but don't let his size fool you – he's a gentle giant who was clearly very loved! Bear knows several commands, including sit, come, heel, and stay (when he's feeling particularly cooperative!). He walks well on a leash, absolutely adores playing ball, and is a friendly companion who would make a great family dog. Bear gets along well with female dogs and is also content to be the only dog in the household.

Ideal Home

Bear would do well in a home where he can be the center of attention, or alongside a canine companion of the female persuasion.

Ongoing Health

Bear is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and flea and heartworm prevention. He will receive a health exam and a veterinary certificate within 10 days of departure.

Training & Support

Bear is a good listener and knows basic commands. He enjoys playing ball and walking on a leash.
