Rachel

Rachel is a truly special girl who came to us when her owner sadly passed away, and her inherited family could no longer care for her. She was born without eyes, a condition called Anophthalmia, but she navigates the world with impressive ease, relying on her keen hearing and incredible snoot! She's incredibly well-adjusted and sweet, and will need a harness so her new family can be her trusted "seeing-eye companions."

Ideal Home

Rachel thrives with extra verbal and gentle touch communication. A home with navigable layouts will be essential for her well-being. She's been getting along well with other well-adjusted pups who have good boundaries, and has even started to play!

Ongoing Health

Rachel is a little "chonky" right now, but with a bit of weight management, she'll be in her ideal weight range of 50-55 lbs. She's spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Rachel is a very gentle soul and even tolerates nail trimmings, though she'll vocalize her mild displeasure! Consistent and gentle guidance will help her continue to feel secure and loved.

Transporation

Rachel is located at the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center in Lyndhurst, VA. Transport may be available.
