Bear is a handsome boy with a big presence and an even bigger personality! He's estimated to be just over 1 year old and weighs about 60 lbs. While we think he might be a pittie mix, his exact breed and age are our best guess. Bear is a confident, people-loving dog who approaches life with enthusiasm and curiosity. He's eager to engage and is very treat-motivated, making him a joy to train. He absolutely shines when it comes to his people skills; he's loving, seeks connection, and is happy to be part of whatever you're doing. Bear is already house and crate trained, and his foster family raved about how well he lounges.
Ideal Home
Bear is still in his puppy phase, so he'll need continued guidance as he learns to manage his excitement, especially around other dogs. He would do best with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his playful energy. While Bear hasn't lived with cats, he showed curiosity and restraint during an introduction to a calm house cat, suggesting he could peacefully coexist with a feline friend, provided there are slow introductions and a dog-savvy cat.
Ongoing Health
Bear is up-to-date on all vetting and will receive a microchip with free lifetime registration.
Training & Support
Bear is a work in progress and will need continued positive reinforcement and clear, consistent handling, particularly with leash manners around other dogs. He can sometimes be a bit too enthusiastic during play, but he learns quickly and respects boundaries once he gets to know other dogs. He loves enrichment puzzles, which are great for his mental stimulation.
