Lily

Meet Lily! She's a sweet, loving 5-year-old Shepherd mix, weighing in at 65 pounds. Lily was rescued from Mexico as a puppy and has a gentle soul. While she might be a little timid at first, she warms up quickly to those who show her kindness. Her favorite pastime is gazing into your eyes while you gently stroke her face. Lily also has a wonderfully goofy side! When she's excited, which is often when food or attention are involved, her whole body wiggles with joy as she shakes her tail. She enjoys basking in the sun or relaxing near an open door, soaking in the fresh breeze and the sounds of nature. Lily loves her walks, but she's also a bit of a homebody and can get tired on longer hikes or runs. Loud noises like fireworks can scare her, and she'll try to find a safe hiding spot in a closet or pantry.

Ideal Home

Lily would love a home where she can relax and enjoy quiet moments. She thrives in a calm environment and would likely do well with older children.

Ongoing Health

Lily is spayed, healthy, and up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She underwent knee surgery for a torn ACL ligament a couple of years ago and has recovered well. She experienced some joint pain previously, but this seemed to resolve after she reached a healthy weight.

Training & Support

Lily is house-trained and knows some basic commands, making her very responsive to positive reinforcement, especially when treats are involved!
