About Chillon

Chillon is a handsome 5-year-old, neutered 68-pound Lab/Pit mix with movie-star looks and a sweet, slightly goofy personality. He was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in San Antonio, Texas, and has since made his way to the PNW. Chillon has soulful amber eyes, a shiny black coat, and a charming collection of pajamas that are sure to make you smile. He was surrendered by his owner and found himself on the euthanasia list through no fault of his own, but thankfully, he's now looking for his forever family.

Ideal Home

Chillon needs another dog in the home to help him build confidence, as he can be nervous as a single dog. He warms up quickly to new people once he feels safe, revealing an incredibly affectionate and silly personality. He enjoys gentle attention, leaning in for pets, and dramatically flopping for belly rubs. A home with respectful, dog-savvy children ages 12 and up would be ideal, as he can be a bit timid initially. He thrives in a home where someone is around for most of the day, such as a work-from-home situation or staggered schedules, as he can worry about being left alone.

Ongoing Health

Chillon is house-trained and rides well in the car. He is smart and eager to please. He does pull on the leash and will require ongoing training for leash manners. Regular activity and long walks will help him build confidence and settle. He may experience some separation anxiety as he builds security in his new home.

Training & Support

Chillon is house-trained and eager to please, making him a quick learner. His new family should be prepared to work on his leash manners. Patience and consistency will be key to helping him work through separation anxiety as he builds confidence and security.
