Meet Ziva, a gorgeous 3-year-old Rottweiler who weighs in at a sturdy 80 pounds. Ziva is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and ready to find her loving forever home! She came to us when her previous owner sadly passed away. Her owner's son left her in the backyard for weeks, where she was cared for by kind neighbors until we were able to bring her to safety in a foster home. Ziva is a "slow burn" girl, meaning she needs a little time to warm up and trust, but she is absolutely worth the wait!
Ideal Home
Ziva would do best in a home without children, as she needs time to acclimate to new people and can be sensitive to touch near her tail and ears. She is cat-friendly and has lived harmoniously with multiple cats, showing curiosity but no aggression. While she can be introduced to resident dogs with a slow and experienced approach, she would prefer a home without other dogs. Ziva has a moderate to high energy level and enjoys playtime and walks but is also content to relax.
Ongoing Health
Ziva is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. No specific health conditions were mentioned in her listing.
Training & Support
Ziva is fully potty trained and has had no accidents indoors. She is comfortable free-roaming and sometimes uses a crate for resting, though she has not been confined in one. Ziva can be a bit of a puller on leash and would benefit from continued leash training. She exhibits resource guarding and should be fed separately from other animals. Ziva can be reactive to other dogs, bikers, and joggers on walks, so continued positive reinforcement and management will be key. Once she trusts you, she is a snuggly and wonderful companion.
