A little about them
Radar is a happy, goofy Bluetick Coonhound–Dachshund mix with lots of drive, focus, and affection. He loves being close to his humans and enjoys curling up for cuddles after a day of activity.
Radar thrives on physical and mental stimulation and would make an excellent adventure, working, or sporting companion. He could excel at hunting, scent work, or Fast CAT.
Ideal Home
Radar needs a structured, consistent home with plenty of exercise and enrichment. A fenced yard or property that allows him to run, including an invisible fence, is required. He would do best in a feline-free home. He lives successfully with other dogs, though he is often indifferent to them and also enjoys one-on-one time with his person. He has lived with cats but is best suited to a home without them.
Ongoing Health
Radar's adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip, vaccines, heartworm and tick-borne illness testing, deworming, a one-year ProHeart heartworm-prevention injection, and a one-year Bravecto Quantum flea and tick-prevention injection.
Training & Support
Radar is completely house-trained and crate-trained. He completed a six-week professional board-and-train program and continues weekly training with his trainer and foster family. He is smart, eager to please, and has strong foundational training for his forever home to continue building.
