Meet Saffron, a 2-year-old Boxer mix who's ready to bring a whole lot of love and heroism into your life! Saffron is about 48 pounds of pure sweetness and courage. She found herself in our care in Kentucky when her previous owner suffered a fall and was unable to care for her any longer. Her owner, a truly remarkable person, was recovering from broken legs and planned to reunite with Saffron. Sadly, due to ongoing health needs, her owner had to make the difficult decision that she could no longer provide Saffron with the life she deserved.
When her owner had her accident, Saffron sprang into action! She barked tirelessly to alert others and stayed by her owner's side, offering comfort until help arrived. We think she's a true hero and an incredibly special girl! Saffron is a playful companion who gets along wonderfully with dogs of all ages and sizes. She's a star when it comes to house-training, never having an accident inside, and she'll even give you a paw when she needs to go out. Saffron loves to sleep in bed with her people and other dogs, but she's also comfortable in a crate when left alone at home. We think she's just about perfect and know you'll fall head over heels for her the moment you meet her!

Saffron is up to date on all her vaccinations and has been spayed.
Training & Support
Saffron is already house-trained and knows how to signal when she needs to go outside. Professional training is recommended for all dogs to help them become the best family members they can be.
