Huck (WA)

Meet Huckleberry, your future adventure buddy! This 1.5-year-old, 40-lb bundle of joy is always up for an adventure. Huck loves to play fetch, romp with toys, and keep a watchful eye on neighborhood critters. He's a whirlwind of energy outdoors, but indoors, he's happy to hang out with his favorite people, play with other dogs, or just relax on a comfy bed.

Ideal Home

Huck thrives with an active family who understands the playful chaos a young, athletic Pointer can bring. He would do well in a home with other dogs, as he enjoys their company, though his play style can be a bit rough. Due to his exuberance and learning curve with play manners, Huck is not a candidate for a home with young children. He also needs a patient adopter who can help build his confidence, as he can be a little shy and sensitive to certain noises. Huck has a high prey drive and has not been cat tested.

Ongoing Health

Huck is up to date on all his vaccines and preventatives and has been neutered.

Training & Support

Huck is crate-trained and a good eater. He has solid recall, even with distractions, showing his intelligence and eagerness to connect. However, he is still working on house training, counter-surfing, and leash walking, as he gets very excited about the world around him! His physical play can also be rough, so he's learning appropriate interactions with human and doggy playmates.
