Rita

Rita is a 7-year-old, spayed female Staffordshire mix who weighs 58 lbs. She's an absolute sweetheart, best described as a cuddly and affectionate girl with moderate energy. Rita would be happy to have doggy siblings or to be the sole focus of her family's love. She has a wonderful balance of being playful and able to wind down for snuggles. Rita enjoys receiving attention, playing with her toys, and going on car rides – a pup cup would be the cherry on top of her perfect day! She is already crate-trained, potty-trained, and leash-trained. Rita has not had the chance to meet children or cats. Though she was found in an overcrowded shelter facing euthanasia due to lack of space, Rita remains loving, outgoing, and playful, with a touch of initial shyness that quickly melts away.

Ideal Home

Rita would thrive in a home where she can receive plenty of rubs and attention. She would do well with or without other medium/large-sized dogs. Since she has not met children or cats, a home without them would be ideal.

Rita is already crate-trained, potty-trained, and leash-trained. She is playful and silly, though can be a tad shy at first.

Transporation

Rita is located in Houston, Texas. She can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up. Transports run every few weeks, and she will be on the next available transport once approved.
