About Doug

Doug is a goofy, playful French Bulldog who happens to be blind. He developed SARDS a couple of years ago and lost his sight, but he has adjusted wonderfully to his condition. Doug loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home, he is house-trained and crate-trained, and he enjoys going on walks. He seems to be able to distinguish light and dark, which helps him navigate. Saving a special needs animal is incredibly rewarding, and Doug is proof of that!

Ideal Home

A home where furniture isn't moved frequently would be ideal, as Doug will bump into things initially. Stairs should be blocked off to prevent any falls.

Ongoing Health

Doug is blind due to SARDS. Information is available online to help create a safe and happy home for visually impaired dogs.

Doug is house-trained and crate-trained. He's already doing great with his blindness, but any home that can provide stability and understanding will help him thrive.
