Ongoing Health

Emerald Jade will have surgery for cherry eye at the time of spay and will go home with post-op care, including a protective collar and ointment. Mild complications are covered by the clinic for a limited time, and follow-up care must be provided through the same clinic. She is also on anti-anxiety medication.

Training & Support

Emerald Jade has been part of a shy dog program and can be fearful with handling, especially in medical settings. She may take time to adjust to a new home and could show different behavior than in the shelter. Positive reinforcement training is strongly recommended to help her build confidence and feel secure.
