Let us introduce the sweetest, most gentle, well-mannered little lady, Rosa!
She is house-trained and learning commands quickly. Rosa starts off a bit shy but greets with tail wagging and eager to make a new friend when guests come over. Her super sweet nature will quickly win you over and you will have a faithful, adoring friend for life. She is so well-mannered that she has never jumped up on the couch or bed without invitation, nor does she come in or out of the house without an invitation. She sleeps soundly through the night, and does not get out of bed until you are ready to start your day. She is always looking to you for her cues on what you would like from her, and if there is nothing required of her, she calmly curls up in her bed. She is a quiet houseguest that will gladly lay in her bed next to you while you go about your work at the computer, or happily hang in her bed while you go about your household chores. An incredibly low-maintenance pal. With that being said, she does enjoy her walks. Yesterday we went on a two-mile walk and she enjoyed the distance and seeing others out walking and dogs as well. She has had tail wagging, slightly shy greetings with other friendly dogs.
Rosa is a dream to walk, as she stays right by your side with a short loose leash, never pulling or going ahead of you, but a true walking companion. You walk, she walks, you stop, she stops. We even met a cat the other day on the walk, and she was curious and gave a sweet, gentle nose to nose greeting, and did not give chase at all. She is gaining confidence a bit more each day, and we are beginning to see a bit of her gentle playfulness come out, too. She is both treat and affection motivated and a real quick learner, so if you are an inexperienced dog owner, a basic training class would be a fun experience for you both. She learned a sit command in a day, and is doing really well with recall, too. She rides great in the car, sitting in her bed for a two hour ride that we went on recently. She is a bit nervous (a little shaking) for the first couple of minutes and then calms right and relaxes for the rest of the journey.
