Meet Gemma! She's a wonderful young dog who came to us from a high-kill shelter. We can't believe she's still with us since 2021! Gemma is now over four years old and truly deserves a loving home. She's thought to be a McNab Shepherd, possibly mixed with Lab, and whatever her mix, we think she's simply fantastic! Gemma absolutely LOVES being around people. She's affectionate, friendly, and has been since the moment we met her. She enjoys the company of some other dogs but can be a bit particular, so she'll need to be tested with any potential canine companions.
Gemma has a lot of energy and would do best with an active family or individual who can give her plenty of attention and engagement. She's very smart and happiest when she's learning or participating in activities. Even though she needs exercise and mental stimulation, she can be surprisingly calm and focused for a young dog. Her intelligence and sweet demeanor should make training a breeze! Gemma travels well and enjoys adventures, always ready with doggie kisses and happy tail wags. She walks nicely on a leash, knows basic commands, and appears to be house-trained. Gemma is a true people-pleaser, a happy-go-lucky girl who's sure to bring joy to her lucky adopter. She's a gem of a dog who will richly reward her new family with a fantastic companion.
