Button Mushroom Best Boy

Button is approximately 9 months old and is ready to be your tiny shadow with floppy ears! He's a professional snuggler, gentle kiss distributor, squeaky toy enthusiast, and an incredibly affectionate emotional support sidekick who believes everyone was put on earth just to love him. Button is the definition of soft-hearted sweetness wrapped in a hilariously adorable puppy package. We suspect he may be a Pit Bull/Pointer mix, but whatever his mix, he's packed with maximum charm! He's confident with people, settles into connection quickly, and approaches every new human with enthusiasm, ready to make a new best friend. Button loves attention and has that wonderful Velcro-dog quality, sticking close to his person without being demanding. And let's not forget his ears – one spotted, one solid, both impossibly floppy and bouncy, adding to his unfair levels of cuteness!

Ideal Home

Button would thrive in a home that can help him continue building confidence. He's a gentle observer and would appreciate canine friends who are kind, socially appropriate, and not overly pushy. He has a balanced energy level, enjoying playtime and adventures but settling down calmly after exercise. He could likely do well in a variety of homes, including apartments, as long as he receives continued socialization, structure, playtime, and love. He just wants to be included in whatever his people are doing, preferably with a stuffed toy in mouth.

Ongoing Health

Button appears to have a wonderfully balanced energy level. He enjoys toys, playing, exploring, and little adventures, but once he's had some exercise, he settles easily and calmly. He has never barked despite much going on around him, and he seemed perfectly content soaking up affection, carrying around stuffies, and politely existing as everyone's favorite little baby.

Training & Support

Button approaches new situations with calm acceptance and recovers quickly from anything mildly worrying. When unsure, he tends to freeze briefly rather than react aggressively, and he is consistently easy to redirect and reassure. He showed excellent tolerance during handling and allowed touching of his paws, ears, face, and body without concern, handling testing like a tiny gentleman. He seems to have a strong passion for squeaky toys.

• The adoption fee is $1000, which includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high-quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, and the cost of transport with an $87 surcharge).

Transportation

Button is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through a private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
