Meet Otis! This handsome 2-year-old, 50-pound American Staffordshire Terrier mix is neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to find his forever home. Otis was sadly returned to a shelter due to a severe skin condition, but he's made a fantastic recovery and is now sporting a shiny, healthy coat he's very proud of! Otis is a resilient and joyful dog who loves people dearly. He's sweet, goofy, and will let you know with a gentle paw if you stop petting him too soon. He's a very attentive boy who thrives on positive reinforcement and genuinely wants to please his humans.
Otis is a social butterfly with other dogs and has excellent manners. He enjoys playing and is very respectful of dogs who need their space. He currently lives harmoniously with dogs of all sizes. While he can be a bit shy when meeting new dog friends, he warms up quickly and would love a canine sibling in his new home. He has a great balance of energy, enjoying active play but also loving to snuggle on the couch. He walks well on a leash, loves car rides, and even enjoys bath time!
In the home, Otis is house-trained and potty-trained. He's also crate-trained and sleeps through the night in his crate, especially with a toy. He has shown no signs of separation anxiety, destruction, food aggression, or resource guarding. He is fed separately to ensure a calm environment.
Otis has not been exposed to cats, so his compatibility with them is unknown. He also has not been around children, but due to his size and tendency to jump when excited, he would likely do best with older, dog-savvy children.

Otis would do best in a moderately active home that also enjoys quiet snuggle sessions. He would love a doggy sibling to play with.
